Community Rules & Support Guide (Revised)

Play fair, be kind, and keep Azeroth fun. Below is how we support you, what we expect from everyone, and how enforcement works.

1 Game Masters (GMs) & Player Support

Live Support Real GMs provide live in-game help. Open a ticket via /gm or the red “?” → Get Help. For urgent exploits/outages, use the #help-desk channel in Discord.

What to include

  • Character, realm, zone, quest/item IDs if relevant.
  • Short description + what you already tried.
  • Screenshots or short clips help a ton.

GMs can / can’t

Can: unstuck, restore clear misclick purchases, resolve harassment, investigate bots/exploits, fix bugged states, mediate disputes, roll back obvious accidental actions.

Cannot: power-level, give gold/gear, advance quests, force trades, undo fair PvP results.

2 Appeals & Account Administration

  • Appeal a GM Decision: open a Discord ticket to Supervisors with facts/screenshots.
  • Appeal a Suspension/Action: log in to the Eternion website → Manage Account → submit appeal.

3 Treatment of Staff

  • No insults, threats, or harassment toward staff.
  • Abuse can lead to mutes, suspensions, or account closure.
  • Disagree respectfully and provide evidence.

4 Naming Policy

Forbidden for characters, guilds, pets, arena teams:

  • References to real-world political, religious, or activist figures; controversial/extremist meanings.
  • Sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, extremist, or otherwise demeaning names.
  • Overly vulgar/sexual names; staff impersonation; advertising/URLs; real-world countries in guild names.

Enforcement: warning → forced rename → escalating penalties for repeats.

5 Chat & Community Conduct

Public channels must be family-friendly.

Prohibited: slurs/hate speech, harassment, threats; explicit sexual content; real-world politics/religion debates; spam/flooding; advertising other servers/RMT.

Allowed with care: light banter/RP in /say and /emote; mature themes only in opt-in private spaces with consent and never involving minors/illegal content.

Reporting: Use /ignore and submit /gm or Discord tickets with screenshots and /time.

6 Griefing & Disruption

Examples (forbidden)

  • Targeted, repeated harassment or stalking across sessions.
  • Training mobs to cause deaths.
  • Body-camping the same player for extended time with hateful chat.
  • Ninja-looting against posted rules; master looter scams.
  • Excessive node stealing by shadowing one player (pattern matters).

Not griefing

  • Normal world PvP, contesting spawns once, fair duels, legitimate competition, one-off misunderstandings.

7 Cheating, Exploits & Third-Party Tools

  • Forbidden: bots/automation, packet edits, speed/fly/wall hacks, dupes, unintended quest/item exploits.
  • Add-ons: UI mods that don’t automate gameplay are generally allowed.
  • Macros: one press = one action. No multi-action scripts or external automation.
  • Reporting: report immediately; good-faith reporters aren’t penalized for brief testing exposure.

8 Trading, Economy & RMT

  • RMT is banned (gold/items/carries/chars for real money/crypto).
  • Scams (trade swaps, refund scams, fake carries) are actionable.
  • Advertising RMT/other servers is prohibited.
  • Giveaways/lotteries require prior staff approval.

9 PvP Rules

World PvP is part of the game; however, targeted harassment with slurs or prolonged corpse camping becomes griefing—record and report patterns.

  • Duels: honor results; no outside interference; stop duel spam after a “no.”

10 Raids, Dungeons & Group Play

  • State loot rules before first pull (MS>OS, SR, DKP, soft-reserve, etc.).
  • Ninja-looting or changing rules mid-run is actionable.
  • Leaders: communicate mechanics/loot; be fair and transparent.

11 Alt Accounts, Multiboxing & Shared Access

  • Multiboxing is allowed if fully manual and rule-compliant.
  • You’re responsible for account security regardless of who used it.
  • Using alts to evade punishments escalates penalties.

12 Discord & External Platforms

  • Discord follows the same conduct rules as in-game.
  • No doxxing, witch-hunts, or sharing private info without consent.
  • Use the ticket system for appeals—don’t DM staff for exceptions.

13 Enforcement Ladder

Typical progression (history/context considered):

  • Informal Warning → Chat Mute (30m → 24h+) → Temporary Suspension (1–7 days+) → Permanent Suspension
Immediate permanent actions may occur for hate speech, doxxing, severe exploits, RMT, or staff impersonation.

14 Evidence & Investigations

  • We use logs, screenshots/video, timestamps, and GM observations.
  • Include /time; avoid cropping out relevant context.
  • False reports/brigading may lead to action.

15 Privacy & Safety

  • Don’t share private messages or real-world info without consent.
  • No minors in mature spaces; no sexual content involving minors.
  • If someone seems at risk, alert staff privately.

16 Roleplay (Optional)

  • Stay Warcraft-consistent; keep OOC in ((double brackets)).
  • Consent matters—avoid RP that makes others uncomfortable.

17 Quick FAQ

  • Unfair GM decision? Open a Supervisor appeal via Discord ticket with evidence.
  • Scammed in a trade? Screenshot chat/trade, use /time, open /gm ticket.
  • Inappropriate name? Report with screenshot; we’ll force rename if it breaks policy.
  • Found an exploit? Stop using it and report privately—good-faith reporting is protected.
